AS OF 1/27/2021 THE SER PLAN INCLUDES ONLY THOSE OPERATIONAL AREAS INCLUDED WITHIN THE
"VILLAGE CORE" .
The VILLAGE CORE AREAS ARE AS FOLLOWS: Village; Midway; Long Hollow; and specific designated individual Hams who are in the Rest Area and Battle Creek.
The SER Plan is no longer coordinating any emergency communications plan for other Shingletown Areas. Such other areas must immediately determine their own emergency communication plans and procedures. Others can listen if they choose. This assumes that they can hear the reports (either directly or they have set up a relay system of radio relays on their own). An efficient emergency communications system was designed and operating. However, in addition to the above W6io major destructive actions, most Hams did not coordinate their non ham neighbors. Further, after W6io launched his destructive actions and false statements, Hams stopped participating and were not willing to provide emergency communications assistance. After all, the "Club President" had "spoken". The facts and law were irrelevant; and common sense, that was a totally lost concept. If the fire wasn't in their backyard, the Hams didn't care. Hams and non Hams have made up random changes to the plan resulting in obstruction of plan operations and coordination, ETC... . During an active Fire Net, a Ham argued about use of tacticals. The procedures were those used by AREAS emergency nets, and he was arguing while the fire burned. Those procedures had been used by the SER Net for YEARS. This lack of seriousness of purpose and refusal to recognize the risk to life is totally lost on such people. Their intentional destructive actions are despicable.
So, Fire Season is upon us and we must utilize those who are willing to actually follow procedures and thereby hopefully have an actual plan when forest fires hit us, and threaten to burn Shingletown, our homes and families, off the mountain. Some neighborhoods have only 1 small road out. If it is blocked, the entire neighborhood risks being trapped in hells inferno. An example is Shasta Forest - 400 homes. It is clear, some people get it, and others don't. Some will not care until it is too late.
